This page outlines the license types available to sellers and clarifies usage rights for buyers. All products must include a license notice and adhere to the terms below. **Last updated:** June 6, 2025 --- ## 1. Standard License (Default) **For personal and commercial use (including internal business use)** The Standard License grants buyers the right to use a digital product in personal, freelance, client, or internal business projects. This license provides **usage rights only** and does **not** transfer ownership of the digital asset. ### Permitted - Use in personal, freelance, and client work - Use in internal business operations (presentations, training, etc.) - Modify and incorporate into creative or business projects - Use in games, apps, videos, websites, and more ### Not Permitted - Resale, redistribution, or sub-licensing - Inclusion in merchandise, NFTs, or print-on-demand products - Use in datasets for training AI or machine learning models ### Practical Examples - **3D Model:** A designer uses a purchased furniture model in a client’s interior render. The final image is delivered, but the 3D model file itself is not shared. - **eBook:** A buyer reads a purchased eBook for learning or reference but does not redistribute the PDF. - **Audio:** A content creator uses a music track as background audio in a video but does not resell the track. - **Link:** A private tutorial, Notion page, or dashboard link is used for personal or business work, but the access link itself is not shared or resold. - **Graphics:** Icons or illustrations are used in a website or app design but not sold as a standalone pack. --- ## 2. Commercial Redistribution License **For use in end-products intended for resale** The Commercial Redistribution License (also referred to as an Extended or Business License) allows broader commercial use, including redistribution, resale, or inclusion in paid products, provided the asset is part of a **larger value-added offering**. ### Permitted - Use in commercial templates, games, apps, NFTs, and printed goods - Modify and include as part of a non-fungible sellable package or digital collectible (NFT) project - Incorporate into value-added tools or bundles ### Not Permitted - Resale of the asset as-is or in extractable formats - Use in tools where the asset is the main value - Use in datasets for training AI or machine learning models ### Practical Examples - **3D Model:** A studio includes a vehicle model inside a paid game asset pack or simulation product. - **eBook:** A publisher adapts an eBook template into a paid course or commercial training material. - **Audio:** A music track is included in a commercial mobile game or paid application. - **Link:** A software access link or private repository is included as part of a paid product, SaaS offering, or client deliverable. - **Graphics:** Illustrations are used in print-on-demand merchandise or premium design templates. --- ## 3. Editorial Use Only License **For news, education, and non-commercial use** The Editorial License restricts usage to non-commercial contexts such as journalism, academic work, research, or documentary projects. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) **For open use with attribution** Creative Commons licenses are globally recognized open licenses published by Creative Commons. Any disputes arising under or related to these terms shall be resolved through **binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware**. ### Termination Clause Violation of these license terms automatically terminates the buyer's right to use the asset. Upon termination, the buyer must immediately cease using the asset and destroy all copies. --- ## Notes for Sellers - You may offer multiple license options for the same product (e.g., Standard or Commercial Redistribution) - Sellers are responsible for enforcing their chosen license terms against buyers - Ensure accurate representation of the license and its restrictions on your product page --- ## Buyer’s Responsibility Buyers are solely responsible for reviewing and adhering to the specific license terms associated with each digital product they purchase. --- ## Definitions & Platform Rules - **Resale:** Selling the asset to another party, whether as-is or slightly modified - **Redistribution:** Sharing the asset publicly or privately without adding significant value - **Sub-licensing:** Granting others permission to use the asset as if they were the original licensee - **End-product:** A project where the asset is a supporting component and not the core value - **Main value:** Where the asset itself is the primary reason for purchase or download - **Editorial clarity:** Modifications made solely to clarify or align with factual or journalistic standards - **Commercial templates:** Pre-built files or tools designed for resale or widespread commercial use These license types are subject to the overall **3DIMLI Terms of Service** and **Acceptable Use Policy**.
